Child in Need of Services Law and Legal Definition
Child in need of services means a child under the age of 18 years and:
whose behavior, conduct, or condition endangers the health, safety, or welfare of the child or another person.
who has been reported as absent to law enforcement for at least 24 consecutive hours from the parent's home without consent.
who is in need of necessary services, including food, shelter, health care, clothing, and educational services.
