Civil Calendar Law and Legal Definition
Civil calendar as used in legal parlance is the list of lawsuits that are approaching trial in any court. Usually, the attorneys and/or parties whose cases are coming to the top of the list receive notice of the "calling" of the civil calendar on a particular day for setting a trial date. In actual practice, due to the pending law suits one case may be called on several civil calendars, possibly months apart, before being finally sent to trial.
