Civil Procedure Cover Sheets Law and Legal Definition
A cover sheet is a special page some courts require to be filed with certain documents. They are often filed with a complaint to assist in case management by providing a summary of the what type of action it is, the monetary value of the claim, or other important information. By using a cover sheet, the court personnel are able to get an overview of the matter without being required to read the entire filing.
