Co-Inventors Law and Legal Definition
According to patent law, co-inventors refers to two or more persons contributing to the same invention. They are also known as joint inventors. Co- inventors have equal rights on the invention. Co-inventors exist even when an invention has been largely contributed by one of the inventors. In the U.S., any one of the co- inventors cannot back out even if the patent application was assigned before publication.
