Coastal Lagoons Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 37.2 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries, Chapter I -- United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of The Interior], the term coastal lagoons means “the waters and submerged lands between the mainland and the offshore barrier islands that lie between Brownlow Point and the Aichilik River within the coastal plain.”
