Collateral Facts Law and Legal Definition
Collateral facts are those which are unconnected, or only remotely connected, with the issue or matter in dispute. Something that is secondary and subordinate to the main issue. As no fair and reasonable inference can be drawn from such facts, they are inadmissible in evidence.
