Comitia tributa refers to an assembly of tribes convened to elect lower ranking officials. The voting units of this assembly are the tribes. It is a subdivision, essentially local, of the territory of the state. The comitia tributa is considered an important body. The comitia tributa also undertakes a great deal of legislative activity in the Roman republic.
