Commercial Forest Land Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 701.51 [Title 7—Agriculture; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Department of Agriculture; Chapter VII -- Farm Service Agency, Department of Agriculture; Subchapter A -- Agricultural Conservation Program; Part 701 -- Emergency Conservation Program and Certain Related Programs Previously Administered under this Part], commercial forest land means “forest land with trees intended to be harvested for commercial purposes that has a productivity potential greater than or equal to 20 cubic feet per year of merchantable timber.”
