Commercial Litigation Branch of the Department of Justice Law and Legal Definition
The Commercial Litigation Branch of the Department of Justice is the largest branch within the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. The branch handles cases that involve billions of dollars in claims both by and against the government. It consists of 250 attorneys who work in six major areas: civil Frauds, contract disputes and other claims court matters, customs and international trade.
