Commission of Delegates Law and Legal Definition
Historically, Commission of Delegates was a commission for appointing a person usually a lord, bishop, or judge to sit with several other appointees in order to hear an appeal of an ecclesiastical judgment in the Court of Chancery. Commission of Delegates was abolished in 1832. The functions of the commission were transferred to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
