Common Bar Law and Legal Definition
In early days, the term ‘common bar’ was used to refer to a plea in bar that was raised by a defendant in an action of trespass. The common bar plea was filed to compel the plaintiff to state exactly where the trespass occurred. Common bar is also known as blank bar.
