Common Resource Law and Legal Definition
In real property, a “common resource” is a resource that provides users with tangible benefits, such as water or pasture. A major concern with common resources is overuse, especially when there are poor social-management systems in place to protect the core resource. Open-access resources are common resources that are not owned by anyone.
