Commonwealth Court Law and Legal Definition
Commonwealth court is a court in Pennsylvania that hears cases involving administrative agencies or other governmental bodies. It has original jurisdiction over all civil actions or proceedings against the commonwealth or its officers, all civil actions or proceedings by the commonwealth or any officer. It original jurisdiction is exclusive, except in civil actions or proceedings brought by the commonwealth or its officers, which is concurrent with the common pleas.
