Compliance Agreement [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 86.7 (b) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle A -- Office of the Secretary, Department of Education; Part 86 -- Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention; Subpart A – General], the term compliance agreement means “an agreement between the Secretary and an IHE that is not in full compliance with its drug prevention program certification. The agreement specifies the steps the IHE will take to comply fully with its drug prevention program certification, and provides a schedule for the accomplishment of those steps. A compliance agreement does not excuse or remedy past violations of this part.”
