Compostible Materials Law and Legal Definition
According to 36 CFR 6.3 [Title 36 Parks, Forests, and Public Property; Chapter I National Park Service, Department of the Interior; Part 6 Solid Waste Disposal Sites in Units of the National Park System.] Compostible materials means “organic substances that decay under natural and/or human-assisted conditions within relatively short time intervals, generally not in excess of ninety days.”
