Compromis Proper Law and Legal Definition
Compromis proper is a term used in relation to international law. It refers to an agreement between two or more nations, in which the nations submit a particular issue that has arisen between them to an international court or to an ad hoc or institutionalized arbitral tribunal. It is also known as special agreement or ad hoc compromis.
