Computer Worm Law and Legal Definition
Computer worm is a computer program designed to spread maliciously and quickly from one computer to another without any user interaction and intervention. Computer Worms do not need to travel through a host program or file. They can travel alone and replicate themselves in great volume, slowing down computers and computer networks. It uses a network to send copies of itself to other network / nodes automatically. There are several types of Computer Worms that can be grouped based on the way to spread and replicate itself. They are E-Mail Worms, Instant Messaging Worms. Internet Worms, IRC Worms and File Sharing Networks Worms.
