In civil law, concussion is the unlawful forcing of another by threats of violence to give something of value. However, concussion differs from robbery. In robbery, things are taken by force, whereas in concussion, things are obtained by threatened violence.
Medically, a concussion is the most common type of traumatic brain injury.
