Conditional Release (Juvenile) Law and Legal Definition
Conditional Release is the care, treatment, help, and supervision provided to a juvenile released from a residential commitment program. The purpose of conditional release is to protect the public, reduce recidivism, increase responsible productive behavior, and provide for a successful transition of the youth from the department to the family and community. Technical violations on these youth will be handled administratively through the transfer process rather than through violations filed with the court.
