Conditional Resident Law and Legal Definition
A conditional resident refers to an alien who has been granted permanent resident status on a conditional basis. For instance, a spouse of a U.S. citizen or an immigrant investor. A conditional resident is required to petition for the removal of the set conditions before the second anniversary of the approval of his/her conditional status.
