Consent to Jurisdiction and Forum Selection Law and Legal Definition
The consent to jurisdiction and forum selection section states the location where any disputes relating to the contract shall be resolved. In other words, this clause states where any disputes between parties should be resolved. For example, if A, a seller, is in Alaska and B, the buyer in Washington, then the contract may state that all disputes may only be brought to and resolved in Alaska, which would make resolution of the dispute more convenient and cheaper.
