Considerable Provocation Law and Legal Definition
Considerable provocation means legal provocation or adequate provocation, such being matters for determination by the court. Adequate provocation is the conduct or circumstances sufficient to deprive a reasonable person of self-control. Considerable provocation is an element reducing a homicide from murder to manslaughter. Malice shall be implied where no considerable provocation appears. [Lamb v. Jernigan, 683 F.2d 1332 (11th Cir. Ga. 1982)].
