Constructive Contempt Law and Legal Definition
Constructive contempt is a contempt of court committed, not in the presence of the court, but at some distance away from it. Generally, constructive contempt will be by disobeying or resisting process, intimidating a witness, or giving a false report of judicial proceeding while the same is pending before the court. It is also referred to as indirect contempt.
