According to 44 CFR 59.1 (Title 44 - Emergency Management And Assistance; Chapter I - Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department Of Homeland Security; Subchapter B - Insurance And Hazard Mitigation; Part 59 - General Provisions; Subpart A – General), contents coverage is “the insurance on personal property within an enclosed structure, including the cost of debris removal, and the reasonable cost of removal of contents to minimize damage. Personal property may be household goods usual or incidental to residential occupancy, or merchandise, furniture, fixtures, machinery, equipment and supplies usual to other than residential occupancies.”
