Contingent Credit Default Swap [CCDS] Law and Legal Definition
Contingent Credit Default Swap or CCDS is a variation on the regular credit default swap. It requires a credit event like non-payment of interest and another specified event for triggering the swap. The second trigger in a CCDS is usually a market or industry variable. A CCDS is generally employed to protect specific exposure when larger industry or market forces have deteriorated.
