Contra Pacem Law and Legal Definition
Contra pacem is a Latin legal term which means “against the peace”. This term was formerly used in indictments to signify that the alleged offense is against the public peace. In trespass actions, the words contra pacem must uniformly accompany the allegation of the injury. In some cases they are material to the foundation of the action.
