Contract Acreage Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 USCS § 7202 (Title 7, Agriculture; Chapter 100, Agricultural Market Transition Act: Short Title, Purpose, and Definitions), the term "contract acreage" means “1 or more crop acreage bases established for contract commodities under title V of the Agricultural Act of 1949 (7 U.S.C. 1461 et seq.) that would have been in effect for the 1996 crop (but for suspension under section 171(b)(1)).”
