Pursuant to 20 USCS § 7801 (11), [Title 20. Education; Chapter 70. Strengthening And Improvement Of Elementary And Secondary Schools; General Provisions; Definitions] the term core academic subjects means “English, reading or language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages, civics and government, economics, arts, history, and geography.”
