Counterinsurgency Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 8401 (2), [Title 22. Foreign Relations and Intercourse; Chapter 91. Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan], the term counterinsurgency means “efforts to defeat organized movements that seek to overthrow the duly constituted Governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan through violent means.”
