Counterterrorism Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 8401 (3), [Title 22. Foreign Relations and Intercourse; Chapter 91. Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan], the term counterterrorism means “efforts to combat al Qaeda and other foreign terrorist organizations that are designated by the Secretary of State in accordance with section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1189), or other individuals and entities engaged in terrorist activity or support for such activity.”
