Country of Last Residence Law and Legal Definition
Country of Last Residence is the country in which an individual last permanently resided. This does not include temporary stay for study, tourism, employment or the like, even if long term. The Department of Homeland Security defines the term “Country of Last Residence” as the country in which an alien habitually resided prior to entering the United States.
