Court of Peculiars Law and Legal Definition
Court of Peculiars is a branch of the Court of Arches. It had jurisdiction over the provincial parishes of Canterbury which was exempt from the jurisdiction of the diocesan bishop and was responsible to the metropolitan only. During the 19th century, Court of Peculiars was abolished.
