Covered Federal Action Law and Legal Definition
According to 6 CFR 9.2 [Title 6 -- Homeland Security; Chapter I -- Department of Homeland Security, Office of The Secretary; Part 9 -- Restrictions Upon Lobbying], the term covered Federal action means any of the following Federal actions:
(i) The awarding of any Federal contract;
(ii) The making of any Federal grant;
(iii) The making of any Federal loan;
(iv) The entering into of any cooperative agreement; and
(v) The extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or modification of any Federal contract, grant, loan, or cooperative agreement.
