Covered Financial Company [Banks & Banking] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 12 USCS § 5381 (8) [Title 12. Banks and Banking; Chapter 53. Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection; Orderly Liquidation Authority], the term covered financial company--
“(A) means a financial company for which a determination has been made under section 203(b) [12 USCS § 5383(b)]; and
(B) does not include an insured depository institution.”
