Crèche (Education) Law and Legal Definition
Crèches are day care centers that provide care of a child during the day by a person other than the child's legal guardians. This is typically performed by someone outside the child's immediate family. Day care is typically an ongoing service during specific periods, mostly during the parents' time at work. Different states have different regulations regarding maintenance of crèches and the qualification of the teachers appointed there. However, in the U.S., joining a child in a crèche is not mandatory.
