Criminal Law and Procedure Jury Instructions Law and Legal Definition
The jury instructions are the judge's explanation to the jury before it begins deliberations of the questions it must answer and the law governing the case. The instructions are given rally to the jury after the attorneys have presented all the evidence and have made final arguments, but before the jury begins deliberations. A limiting instruction is a judge’s instruction to a jury concerning trial testimony and exhibits that have been received only for a limited purpose.
