Criminal Removal Law and Legal Definition
Criminal removal is the deportation or removal of an alien who has been charged under the provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act that stipulates a criminal conviction. That charge is the basis for the removal. It may also be on a criminal conviction noted in the Deportable Alien Control System (DACS) for a crime that result in the removal of the alien. An alien with an appropriate criminal conviction is considered a criminal alien regardless of the provision under which the alien was removed.
