Cue Ante Divortium Law and Legal Definition
Cue ante divortium is a Latin term. It means ‘to whom before divorce.’ It is the name of an ancient writ, abolished in 1833. This entry writ enables a divorced woman to recover the lands and tenements which she had held in fee, but that her husband had sold without her permission during the marriage. This writ is also known as sur cui ante divortium.
