Culpa levis is a Latin term that means lack of ordinary care. All people show ordinary and common negligence. This sort of negligence is normally, not punishable. However, if the negligence results in disastrous consequences to the life and property of another, person who commits culpa levis can also be punished. It is also called excusable negligence.
