Customs and Border Protection Law and Legal Definition
Customs and Border Protection is one of the Department of Homeland Security’s largest and most complex components. The mission of CBP is to keep terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S. It also has a responsibility for securing and facilitating trade and travel while enforcing hundreds of U.S. regulations, including immigration and drug laws. Being the single unified border agency of the United States, CBP’s mission is vitally important to the protection of America and the American people.
