Data Loss Flight Time [Aeronautics and Space] Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 417.3 [Title 14 Aeronautics and Space; Chapter III Commercial Space Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation (Parts 400 to 499); Subchapter C Licensing; Part 417 Launch Safety; Subpart A General and License Terms and Conditions], Data Loss Flight Time means “the shortest elapsed thrusting time during which a launch vehicle flown with a flight safety system can move from its normal trajectory to a condition where it is possible for the launch vehicle to endanger the public.”
