Date of Application (Patent and Trademark) Law and Legal Definition
The date of application is the date upon which duly executed application papers are received in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The application must include a specification containing a description and, if the application is a nonprovisional application, at least one claim, and any required drawings.
