Day Rule Law and Legal Definition
Day Rule is a term of English law. It refers to a Queen's Bench writ allowing a prisoner to leave prison to conduct business like attending trial at the Court of Assizes. However the prisoner is required to return by 9 p.m before the day ends. Day rule is also known as day writ.
