A day treatment center refers to a licensed or certified facility which is licensed to provide a behavioral health treatment program, outpatient care, and treatment of mental or nervous disorders or substance abuse under the supervision of physicians. It is offered on the basis of a written treatment plan approved and monitored by the participating provider for a full day or part of a day.
