De Homagio Respectuando Law and Legal Definition
De homagio respectuando is a Latin term which means “for respiting or postponing homage.” It refers to a writ issued to the sheriifs in England for postponement of homage. Lords may sometimes, use this writ for reasonable cause and will postpone the receipt of homage and relief for their fees. Mostly, this writ is issued for the reason that homage should not be received nor relief given while the case is in progress.
