The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC) is a non-profit tax exempt organization that focuses on broadcasting studies and reports related to the death penalty. The mission of DPIC is to serve the public with analysis and information on issues concerning capital punishment. DPIC broadcasts such reports either by itself and others are served to the news media and general public. DPIC was founded in 1990. The functions of DPIC includes preparing in-depth reports, issuing press releases, conducting briefings for journalists, and serving as a resource to those working on this issue.
