Deck Cargo Law and Legal Definition
Deck cargo is goods transported from one place to another by carrying them on an extended structure in a ship or boat. Unlike the belly cargo, items such as explosives, cattle and lumber are carried on the top floor or the main deck of the ship. Deck cargo is the cargo carried outside rather than within the enclosed cargo spaces of a vessel.
