Defensor Law and Legal Definition
Defensor is a Latin term meaning a protector. A defensor is appointed to protect the interest of another in judicial proceedings. For example, advocate or guardian.
The following is an example of a case law on defensor;
A person appointed by a court to defend the rights of absentees in a suit against them ought not to be permitted to surrender any lawful means of defence on their part, to the injury of those whom s/he represents. [Collins v. Pease's Heirs, 17 La. 116, 117 (La. 1841)].
