Delivered Ex Ship or DES Law and Legal Definition
Delivered Ex Ship or DES means that the seller has to deliver goods to the buyer at the agreed port of destination. The seller's obligation ends when he/she places the goods at the disposal of the buyer, on board the ship, not cleared for import. The seller must bear all the costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to the named port of destination. The seller remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered.
