Delivery Law and Legal Definition
The formal act of transferring a deed or the giving or yielding possession or control of something to another is called delivery. Delivery may be in the form of words or acts. A delivery can be either absolute or conditional. That delivery which is complete upon the actual transfer of the deed from grantor’s possession is an absolute delivery. When a delivery passes possession subject to the happening of a particular event, then such a delivery is called a conditional delivery.
